Halloween is always a dilemma for me. It is not an event I like for my family to celebrate. Hard to avoid it in our society so our way of 'staying in the community' is to do a little fun dress up, carve up a pumpkin or two or four! and stay in the cul de sac. 650 pieces of candy later! yes - we ran out in 2 hours and yes we only give out one piece per person - the event is finished in our home but still going strong in the 'hood. The giant pumpkin farmer parks his trailer of HUGE pumpkins right in front of our home each year and everyone this side of anywhere comes and takes a picture. It is quite a site to behold. Here are a few pics for you...(just a mom note....this is the first year my oldest was not at home on this evening. He is with friends watching movies. So different not having him here...)
a little carving...
eewww....
this is the third outfit of the evening...don't ask!
see the sky...no that is not a painting...it is what the sky truly looked like.

Your kids are so photogenic, even with pumpkin goo. Emma- whoah. She's a knockout, Missy. She looks so grown-up in that last picture!
Holy cow, Emma looks so grown up... and PRETTY in the last picture! I miss you guys!
No kidding! My first reaction was that I was looking at Jenna. It is so fun to have daughters that look so much like each other!
I concur with you about the dilemma...we are still wondering what to do with our little guys, too. Miss you and hope all is well in SLO!
